A szent szűz Birde származása,
Fénylő aranyláng, Krisztusnak nemes nevelőanyja,
Bride, Dugall, a barna lánya,
Ki Aodh fia, Art fia, Conn fia,
Crearar fia, Cis fia, Carina fia, Carruin fia.

Minden nap és minden éjjel
Amikor Bride származását elmondom,
Nem ölhetnek meg, nem pusztíthatnak el,
Nem börtönözhetnek be, nem sebesíthetnek meg,
És Krisztus sem fog megfeledkezni rólam.

Se tűz, se Nap, se Hold nem égethet meg,
Se tó, se víz, se tenger nem fullaszthat meg,
Se tündérnyíl vagy –dárda nem sebesíthet meg,
És én vagyok Szent Máriám védelme alatt,
És kedves nevelőanyám, az én szeretett Bride-omé alatt.
